OTHER IDEAS
Garden art
Use an old sheet or towel (ask an adult!) and lay it on the floor. Then collect sticks and leaves and make your own picture.
Junk modelling
Use your recycling to make a model of your choice. You could make a rocket, a boat, a castle, a dolls house, an animal or even a whole city! Use paper to draw a design of your model first and label it with the different materials you will need.
Make a fairy or dinosaur garden
Use an old plant pot or any recycled plastic tray and fill with sand, soil or pebbles. They use twigs and leaves to make the garden before you add your dinosaur or fairy visitors.
Nature bugs
If you can head outside and collect a selection of leaves and twigs. Use them to make your own bugs!
Paper planes
Make a set of paper planes using recycled paper. Challenge someone in your family. Who can get their plane to fly the furthest? For an extra challenge make a cardboard target and see if you can get your plan to fly through.
Story Stones
Paint a selection of stones with characters, places and props then use the stones to make up or retell a story!
