Chris North
‘Freedom Through Fun!’ based in Chichester was founded in November 2004.
With 20 years experience as a teacher and 13 years as a Senior Social Worker in the West Sussex Child Disability Team, Chris comes with a wealth of experience. Chris (who usually appears as himself but has other characters too), puts energy and thought into every Workshop or event and gives play a different edge with a special blend of fun, imagination, laughter and the opportunity to learn new skills. His work includes Chestnut Tree House, Lodge Hill Centre, P.A.C.S.O. Playscheme, Short Breaks Family Fun Days, Autism Sussex,Worthing Portage, Q.E. 11 School, St. Anthony’s School, L.V.S. School and Children & Family Centres and Chris’s distinctive and inclusive approach provides fun for all ages and in all settings in a relaxed, flexible and enjoyable environment. |

Under Fives Resource Guide
|
Funded through Wellspring and the Lottery's 'Awards For All' , Chris North provided creative and interactive play sessions for under fives across West Sussex, primarily with children and families known to the Portage Service. He's put together a booklet of some of the activities and resources he used, as well as articles about play by Francesca and Tandy, two Portage Co-ordinators. The activities are starting points and can lead on to other ideas. The booklets will firstly be distributed to Portage families across West Sussex.
