Welcome to Wellspring!Wellspring West Sussex is an independent organisation and registered charity, set up to provide information, dialogue and discussion with and for children and young people with disabilities, and their parents and carers in West Sussex.
We produce 2 free, newsletters a year, provide information via our website and newsletter and help to fund creative arts workshops for groups of children and young people with disabilities throughout West Sussex. The organisation is managed by a committee of volunteers. If you would like to find out more about volunteering with Wellspring, click here. Our Chair and Editor Lizzie Baily MBE is disabled. Find out more about Lizzie. Wellspring West Sussex has a child protection policy in operation and copies can be made available on request. Any disabled child or young person in West Sussex who expresses concerns about what may be happening to them will be encouraged to contact one of the nominated agencies for help. This policy can be found on the Meetings & Policies page. Find out more about Wellspring West Sussex by reading our new Information Booklet and Wheely Wonders leaflet. We are really happy to share the great news that Wellspring West Sussex has funding from The National Lottery (Awards4All) for over £11,000!
Our project on the application was called “Everybody Belongs” and the money we have received will enable us to continue running all our Creative Arts workshops for children and young people with additional needs, siblings and families through 2025 and into 2026! The workshops we offer are: • Music with Adam Gellibrand. The funding covers Adam as the music leader, an assistant, use of equipment and hire of studios. These sessions can be with a group at their premises or at QM Studios in Horsham. More about Adam’s work here. • “Freedom Through Fun” workshops with Chris North. These will be with groups at their premises and they will create stories, poetry and drama using equipment such as puppets and musical instruments. For more details about what Chris offers click here. • Wheely Wonders Family Days at Applefield in Sidlesham. Once a month on Sundays from April 2025 onwards. Available for up to 16 children and young people per session. More on this year’s days here. Please get in touch with us if you would like more information about any of the workshops and how to book! Our project was made possible thanks to #NationalLottery players. THANK YOU so much! DONATE to Wellspring through Localgiving
