Anim8 multi-media project

‘Anim8'  is a visual/multi-media project for children & young people (5-18) on the autistic spectrum run by Enable Me.  The project will allow participants to use film & animation techniques in a safe and creative environment to have fun exploring new ways to communicate with their families, peers and the rest of the world in their own unique ways! 40 clubs taking place between Oct 2011 and March 2012.

TimeAside Sensory Art workshops

Sensory Art workshops providing creative fun for the whole family using a rich array of materials. Sessions meet all communication, access and esteem needs, in an atmosphere where there is acceptance for all and fun. No art skills are required. This is natural play with a special focus, where all are valued and imaginative connections are possible. £5 per family per session. An Introduction to Special Needs

A 6 week programme of introductory workshops on special needs for parents of children under 5 run by the Parent & Family Care Foundation. The course has been designed to give an overview of those subjects that affect most families of young children need to address.

AskDES Kids is an extension of a very popular service run by the charity Voice for Disability (formerly WSAD) which allows you to do just this. SMART Club

This activity session is for children aged 8 - 16 years with special needs. It takes place every Wednesday 5.15pm - 6.45pm at the Triangle Leisure Centre, Burgess Hill. Parent Carers' Planning Group

The PCPG acts as a forum for parent-carers of children with special educational needs/disabilities and their representatives to meet with officers and to present their views on services and shape the development of services. Meetings are held quarterly at venues in the County and are chaired by an Elected Member. There is open membership of the PCPG for parent-carers.

SASBAH Youth Club

This youth club is primarily for young people who require extra support and encouragement to participate in social activities. It is for young people aged 11 - 25 and takes place at the Flintstone Centre, East Street, Littlehampton between 7pm and 9pm.

Worthing kiDS

This is a Down's Syndrome support group for babies and children under 12, and their families. They meet during each school holiday, so that the kids can have fun, while the parents/carers get a chance to relax and have a chat. For more information ring Lydia 01903 231125.

M8s@Horsham Youth Centre

This youth club is for 13 -19 year olds who have additional needs and disabilities. Meets every Wednesday evening in term time from 7 - 9pm.

Family Fund London and South East

Bunny Hoppers

A special group for under 5's with disabilities or special needs and their parents, that meets on Sunday afternoons and at holiday time at Springboard House.

Buddy Scheme

A scheme designed to provide access to leisure and recreation facilities for teenagers with disabilities and special needs during the week, at weekends and holiday time with volunteers of their own age group.
