Parent Carers' Planning Group
The
PCPG acts as a forum for parent-carers of children with
special educational needs/disabilities and their representatives
to meet with officers and to present their views on services
and shape the development of services. Meetings are held
quarterly at venues in the County and are chaired by an
Elected Member. There is open membership of the PCPG for
parent-carers. If you would like to receive information
about PCPG meetings and/or be added to the mailing list

SASBAH
Youth Club
This youth club
is primarily for young people who require extra support
and encouragement to participate in social activities. It
is for young people aged 11 - 25 and takes place at the
Flintstone Centre, East Street, Littlehampton between 7pm
and 9pm.

Worthing
kiDS
This is a Down's
Syndrome support group for babies and children under 12,
and their families. They meet during each school holiday,
so that the kids can have fun, while the parents/carers
get a chance to relax and have a chat. For more information

M8s@Horsham Youth Centre
This youth club
is for 13 -19 year olds who have additional needs and disabilities.
Meets every Wednesday evening in term time from 7 - 9pm.
Membership is £1 and weekly subs are 50p.

Independent
Living Association
The Independent Living Association is a not-for-profit organisation
promoting the independence of disabled people in West Sussex.The
ILA provides specific practical support to disabled people
such as the advice service to people on the county's Directs
Payments (DP) scheme. It is also increasingly involved
in championing the interests of disabled people and seeking
change in social attitudes to disability. Contact 01903

Family
Fund London and South East
The
Fund helps families of severely disabled and seriously ill
children under the age of 16. They give grants and information
related to the care of the child. The local contact is Clare

Kangaroos
A special needs
soft play session is held on Tuesday evenings from 6.15-7.15pm
at Jesters, Kings Centre, East Grinstead. The session is
open to special needs children and their siblings up to
12 years or ability appropriate. For more information contact

The Active
4 All Club
A club for special
needs and disabled children aged 5-16 years. The club runs
every other Saturday between 4-6pm at the Chanctonbury Leisure
Centre, Spierbridge Road, Storrington. Activities include
Bouncy castle, trampoline, table tennis, soft play, parachute,
football and many more. The cost is £2.25 for members
and £3 for non-members.

Bunny
Hoppers
A special group
for under 5's with disabilities or special
needs and their parents, that meets on Sunday afternoons
and at holiday time at Springboard House.
Buddy
Scheme
A new initiative
designed to provide access to leisure and recreation facilities
for teenagers with disabilities and special needs during
the week, at weekends and holiday time with volunteers of
their own age group.

Worthing
Specials
A
football club for children and young people aged 8-16 years
of age, with special needs that meets at St Andrews School,
Sackville Road, Worthing every other Saturday from 10-11.30am.
Sessions are run by qualified coaches for girls and boys
of all abilities at a cost of £2 per week.

Junior
Sports Club
A
junior sports club for young people aged 6-18 years of age
with physical disabilities at The Angmering School, Station
Road, Angmering. The sessions are held on the first Tuesday
of each month between 6pm and 7.30pm at a cost of £1
per session.

Sitting Service
The Sitting Service is looking for volunteers, particularly
in the Worthing and Adur areas, who may be able to help
a family or carer of a child with disabilities take a well
